Irish born Terence Kierans (aka TK), has been associated with the IT industry for 36 years. For the last 30 years, he has been self-employed and has made a name as a Microsoft Office expert.
TK holds a degree in electrical engineering. He migrated to Australia in 1965 to work at a NASA tracking station, becoming an Operations Supervisor during the Apollo missions, including a spell of duty during the lunar landing. It isn’t everyone who can say that they helped put man on the moon.
In 1970 he left the Tracking Station to become the owner of a photographic business in a large country town in Western Australia. Unfortunately drought conditions in 1973 and ’74 necessitated leaving the business to avoid bankruptcy and settling down in the capital of Australia, Canberra.
In 1978 he decided that he wasn’t cut out to be a professional photographer after all and joined the Department of Finance as a computer operator.
After five years there he worked with the Department of Immigration as an Operations Supervisor and Network Manager. He left to freelance as a technical writer and then in a range of fields ending as a project manager with Australia’s largest company, BHP.
After moving to Western Australia in l;ate 1999 he started Cyberspace Virtual Services (www.virtualservices.com.au) in 2000.
His extensive experience in the IT environment has given him much knowledge to help others. He has a particular interest in Business Continuity Management; Disaster Recovery, and Quality Management.
In late 2015 he decided to enter the Internet Marketing arena and started a course in Internet Marketing using “Partnership to Success”.
